I started my role as a support coordinator at Love in Music a year ago, drawn by my passion for music and my dedication to making a positive impact on my community. As I took on this role, my responsibilities and skills grew, from learning how to coordinate rehearsals to sending out weekly newsletters. However, beyond the skills I have learned, the relationships I have built with other volunteers, students, and teachers are one of the most rewarding aspects of my experience at Love in Music. Talking to each student and witnessing their growth and progress, both musically and personally, is incredibly rewarding. I have seen shy students become confident performers and watched friendships form over shared musical interests.
I appreciate the community Love in Music has built over the past year, and I know that the skills I have developed will serve me well in the future. This experience has taught me not only practical skills but also important life lessons about empathy, leadership, and resilience. Whether in my personal life, my education, or my career, the experiences and relationships from Love in Music will continue to inspire and guide me.
