Irvine Onnuri Church’s Vision Hall – 10 am, Saturday, 8/15/26
Love in Music–Santa Ana Branch gathered at Irvine Onnuri Church’s Vision Hall on August 15 for our SY 2026–27 Volunteer Orientation and SY 2025–26 Community Leader Volunteer Awards Meeting, bringing together nearly 90 teaching volunteers and parents to celebrate a year of dedicated service and look ahead to another meaningful school year.
For the new school year, approximately 60 volunteers have registered to teach across a wide range of instruments—from strings, winds and percussion to guitar and piano. We are especially pleased to welcome 18 new volunteers, half of whom come from communities beyond the Korean American community—a wonderful reflection of Love in Music’s continuing mission to bring people of diverse backgrounds together through music and service.
The gathering also gave us an opportunity to recognize 27 Santa Ana volunteers for their outstanding commitment during the 2025–26 school year. We are deeply grateful to Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, L.A. County Supervisor Holly Mitchell (District 2), and L.A. City Councilmember Heather Hutt (District 10) for providing Community Leader Volunteer Awards in recognition of our young volunteers’ dedicated service.
With our volunteers and parents gathered together, it was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate what we accomplished together—and to begin another school year of learning, teaching, and growing together with renewed commitment to sharing music, service, and community.
