Love in Music–Los Angeles Branch, August 8, 2026
Love in Music–Los Angeles Branch welcomed the 2026–27 school year with a warm and intimate Volunteer Orientation and Community Leader Volunteer Awards Meeting on Saturday, August 8, at the Vision Center of Oriental Mission Church in Los Angeles.
With several volunteers still away for summer travel, the smaller gathering gave us a special opportunity to sit together around the table, get to know one another more personally, and reconnect before another school year of learning, teaching, and growing together.
Over refreshments thoughtfully prepared by our volunteer parents, everyone took turns introducing themselves and sharing highlights from their summer. We were especially happy to welcome our new piano volunteer, Sean Kim, a 10th-grade student, who attended with his mother and shared his enthusiasm for beginning his service with Love in Music.
The gathering also provided time to reflect on the commitment of our returning volunteers, recognize dedicated service from the past school year, and talk together about our hopes for the year ahead. We look forward to another wonderful year of teaching, learning, and building community through music!
