Two hours before the start of Love in Music’s 2026 Annual Concert, students, teaching volunteers, parents, and supporters from our Los Angeles, Santa Ana, and South Bay program branches gathered for a joyful communal lunch, sharing food and fellowship before taking the stage together.
As an annual tradition, the communal lunch provides a special opportunity for the Love in Music family to connect across program sites, celebrate another year of learning and service, and strengthen the bonds that unite our community. While the concert showcases the power of music, the gathering beforehand reflects the relationships and friendships that make our mission possible.
This year’s luncheon was made possible through the generosity and dedication of our volunteer and student families, who prepared and shared a wonderful variety of dishes representing different cultures and traditions. From Mongolian specialties to American favorites and other family recipes, the meal became a meaningful opportunity for cultural exchange and community building.
We are especially grateful to the parents and family members who helped organize, set up, serve, and clean up the luncheon. Their support created a welcoming environment where students, volunteers, and families could meet one another, reconnect with old friends, and celebrate the spirit of Love in Music together. As we celebrate 19 years of building harmony and inspiring lives through music, we remain thankful for the many families, volunteers, and community partners whose generosity and commitment continue to make moments like these possible.
Our deep appreciation to Torrance First Presbyterian Church who kindly opened its doors for us to hold not only our 19th anniversary concert in its beautiful Main Worship Hall but also this large event for all participants, in addition to a spacious rehearsal room for both teachers and students, while the church was also busy in hosting its own large event in the morning.
