🎼 Santa Ana Branch Virtual/Zoom Winter Concert

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, when in-person gatherings were not possible, Love in Music’s Santa Ana Branch found a creative way to continue sharing music and encouragement with our students and families by shifting in-person lessons to online class for SY 2020-2021.

On January 23, 2021, the Santa Ana team hosted a Virtual Winter Concert through the KidWorks Zoom platform. Although the annual in-person concert could not take place that year, our dedicated student volunteers worked together to organize a meaningful online performance that brought our community together.

Leading up to the event, teaching volunteers reached out to student families and invited them to record short video clips of their children performing holiday carols and other pieces at home. These performances were thoughtfully compiled into a concert program, accompanied by photos of the teaching volunteers and messages of encouragement.

The program was hosted by Ashley Lee, who served as the student emcee for the event. To make the concert accessible to families in the community, Spanish subtitles were added to the program, allowing more parents to fully enjoy and understand the presentations.

Students, parents, and volunteers joined the concert through Zoom, sharing a special moment of music and connection during a time when the world felt especially uncertain. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, the dedication and creativity of our volunteers ensured that the spirit of Love in Music continued to reach the children we serve.
